We have a morning landing at Midterhuken where we encounter our first Arctic fox, a pair of reindeer as well as a family of Arctic skuas. Back on the boat for lunch, we sail to Kapp Toscane for our second landing. Yet another beautiful walk with again an Arctic fox and a group of reindeer. We end up at Kvitfiskstranda (White Whale Beach) where ‘Bamsebu’ hut and large piles of Beluga bones reveal a historic chapter of intensive whaling here around 1930. From here we set sail further South towards Hornsund.
